How can I get gloss paint off the carpet?

If there is a lot (can tipped over) then it's a complete loss! Rip the carpet up and throw it away.





If it's just a few spots then dampen a cloth with white spirit/turps and dab it. This works for a day or two after the paint is applied.How can I get gloss paint off the carpet?

well firstly you need a bucket of water then a bit of vanish


power o2. then you apply the vanish on the carpet


then leave to dry once this process is done,cleen your carpet with the water !!!!!!!!
White spirit - lots of it, as in about a gallon or two.





Why I say this is my parents once accidentally tipped a can of white gloss paint onto a dark carpet %26amp; managed to remove it, but had to use betwen 1 and 2 gallons of the stuff almost straight away. (Scrape, dab with clean soaked cloth, repeat many times over.)
up some washing up liquid in a bowl with hot water and scrub with a scribing brush

Rub with a little Turps or white spirit, try rubbing upwards so you don麓t spread the paint further, then with a sponge and warm water to wash. Once you have all the paint out, if you have no carpet shampoo use some of your own hair shampoo , it work麓s just as good. Rinse well, then lay a towel with a heavy object on top . This will help dry any remaining water from the underside of your carpet.
blow torch would remove it !
if its still wet scrub in a mix of Gif/Cif and water it can disolve gloss paint and make it water soluable.

then take carpet outside, hang up rolled so paint bit is is lowerest then black it out and scrub it with a high pressure hose to wahs it it... if hun up flat down you will spred the paint if you get the practicalities
