I have gloss paint on my block paved drive. Is there any way it can be removed without damaging the bricks?

I had the same problem many years ago and I tried everything, what I ended up doing took me almost a year to do, I turned the bricks over and it worked for me, it looked great. It was a pain in the rear to do, and I thought once I started it, that I should have my head examined, but like I say, it worked for me. Once you get one block up it goes pretty easy, hope I have helped you. My driveway was 25ft wide and 75ft long. Anyone who paints bricks should be shot. Good luck.I have gloss paint on my block paved drive. Is there any way it can be removed without damaging the bricks?
try a pumice stone you know the one to rub away hard skin on you heels, when I was an apprentice painter I slipped on a ladder spilling a pot of paint onto a sandstone wall and a pumice stone was used to clean the paint off without damaging the sandstone too much, you block paving is much harder than sandstone so have a go, The stone can be purchased from a chemist shop. Good luck I hope it works for you.I have gloss paint on my block paved drive. Is there any way it can be removed without damaging the bricks?
I would have a go at turning teh paving stones over and relaying them. never use a power washer or steamer on block paving It Will remove the sand between the stones (bricks) and make the driveway uneven

you may? like to try a paint stripper and wire brush but it would take so much its cheaper and quicker to get stuck in and relay the drive. good luck.
A steam cleaner should get that of no probs , then tidy the bricks with acid brick cleaner , just brush it on wait a few minutes then steam clean it of again they'll look like new .

PS don't just leave the acid on it'll eat into the bricks !
I would use a pressure washer to try to remove the paint. If you don't have a pressure washer you can rent one at any of your local home improvment stores, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.
Try Nitromors also you could try muric acid - from builder's merchants - but I'd try it somewhere hidden first to check it doesn't destroy the brick too!
Very unlikely there'll be NO damage. Best bet is to dab on paint stripper (be careful - it burns skin!), leave for ten minutes and scrub off with water and WU liquid. Repeat if necessary.
Try using paint stripper. Just brush it on and leave for a while. Then scrape off.
