What is the safest way to dispose of gloss paint and white spirit?

Your local Recycling centre should have a special area for liquid waste - for the exact type of waste you mention.

If not, you can sometimes arrange for the council to pick it up for you from home; although I think usually it has to be above a certain amount. It's still worth a try, and besides, they should be able to advise you about your nearest disposal place.

If not, just find something to paint - an old cabinet or some tired shelves - or offer it to someone who might need it. Ultimately, the best way to get rid of it is to use it.What is the safest way to dispose of gloss paint and white spirit?
