Question about water based gloss paint?

i've got some left over and no more use for it.I don't want to throw it away cos of waste and enviorement issues.if i added some more water to it and gave it a good mix could it then be used as an undercoat?Question about water based gloss paint?
Local refuse centre/tip tend to take old paint. If it's not glossy then it sounds like satinwood.Question about water based gloss paint?
freecycle it to someone else who can use it up
yes it could but would have a gloss base ,which would be hard for another gloss to go over it,(stick to it)
no ..not as an undercoat
Since the paint that you have is gloss, it would make a bad undercoat. gloss paint or even semi-gloss paint is hard to paint over unless you sand it to ';rough '; it up a little. If the paint were a flat latex then it would work well as an undercoat or primer. My best suggestion is to use the remaining stuff to paint the dog's house or the ceiling in the attic, garage or basement. I'm sorry about the waste, but, when buying paint, it's always better to have more than needed than not having enough. Most big hardware stores have a disposal fascility for items like this.
