I have looked at Farrow %26amp; Ball; Dulux; Crown; International and Fired Earth ranges, but haven't been able to find exactly the right colour. Any recommendations?Where can I buy a very dark and rich inky blue/black gloss paint for an exterior wood door?
I couldn't find that sort of colour either, so ended up mixing a dark navy and a black exterior gloss 50:50 in a paint kettle with a stick of wood to stur them together - the end colour looked absolutely lovely on our door and was totally original!
At least this way you can adjust the blue/black accordingly and I just bought cheap own-brand exterior gloss for the job - made it cheaper than getting in matched for us at the time!
Hope that helps.Where can I buy a very dark and rich inky blue/black gloss paint for an exterior wood door?
Try Costello's Trade Centre in South Ealing the staff are very helpful and they can send off for a colour match from their colour centre if your not happy with the match they find on their paint machine. 0208 567 7448.
Sound like you are in UK........If its just a small amount, i,e, for a door for instance, try mixing good quality black enamel with navy blue 50/50 Paint stores dont like mixing paint for you if it is NOT on their list.
look in focus and b%26amp;q.

G.C Johnson Ltd 30-32 High Road, Buckhurst Hill, Essex IG9 5hp. TEL 020-8504 7925 / 4875 Fax 020 8504 8721 have a machine that replicates colours. from any sample. you find a sample of the colour and they can make it up for you and send it through the post to you
I've not been to one of their stores for a while, but you might check Sherwin-Williams. They've got a great selection of paints.
Good luck!
Try a Paint store that just has paints, stains,ETC. Also Home depot or Lowes have a lot to chose or to have mixed to your liking.
Can't you mix your own colour from a dark blue and black? Use something like JapLac or Smoothrite..
a paint shop and dulux do paint matching if they dont do it you can sue them as i work for them
