Im in a bit of a rush finishing off a bit of gloss paainting and it says on the tin allow 16 hours beetween coats, does anyone know if i can apply another coat any sooner than this ???How long can i give it beetween coats when using gloss paint ?
It depends on temperature and humidity. If you're in a humid area you need to give it more time. You didn't say what you were panting but the best results are going to be if you let the preceding coat dry.How long can i give it beetween coats when using gloss paint ?
I really wouldn't recommend doing it any sooner than the recommended time as gloss paint is very easy to mess up.
I concur with several other responders. Unless the temperature is on the high side and the humidity on the low side wherever you're painting, putting on a second coat before the first coat completely cures is going to result in a poor finish.
If you try to do it any faster then the recommended timings, it will end up looking rubbish!
Well you can,,,,, as soon as the 1st coat is no longer liqued then another coat can go on.
no I don't think so. sorry 16 hours is 16 hours, no rush jobs or the paint would bubble. really don't know of any other advice i could give you, if you had asked b4 you started i might of been able to help you.
